STRAWBERRY AND PRETZEL SALAD
(Makes a great Desert)
2 C pretzels (crushed not fine)
2 (10 oz) pkg strawberries or
3/4 C margarine (melted)
2 C fresh strawberries
3 T. sugar
1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese
1 large pkg strawberry jello
1 C sugar
2 C boiling water
2 C Cool Whip
Mix together pretzels, margarine and sugar. Press into 13 x 10" pan and bake at 400 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Do not overbake. Mix jello and boiling water until dissolved; add strawberries and stir until well mixed. Place in refrigerator to cool for 1 hour or until jello starts to set.
Mix cream cheese and sugar. Fold in Cool Whip. Spread over pretzel layer; pour cooled jello on top and refrigerate. Let set 4 or 5 hours before serving. Can top with more Cool Whip.
